Varsity Athletics

Soccer player Although, Vermont Tech has always been well known for its excellent academic programs, the college has also experienced a rich and rewarding athletic history. By all indications, the best is yet to come. Vermont Tech's athletic programs are on the rise! The 2006-07 academic year was Vermont Tech's first year as a member of the National Intercollegiate Athletic Association (NAIA) and the Sunrise Conference, an affiliation of four year NAIA member colleges located throughout New England. The move to the NAIA and the Sunrise Conference further solidifies Vermont Tech's standing as a four year institution. Vermont Tech has also remained affiliated with the fast growing United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) and the highly competitive Yankee Small College Conference, a group of Northern New England Colleges with a similar size and mission.

Vermont Tech offers a variety of varsity athletic programs. In the fall, the college fields teams in Men's Soccer, Women's Soccer, Baseball, Golf, Cross-Country and Women's Volleyball. In the winter, the focus turns to our excellent Men's and Women's Basketball programs. In the Spring, the Baseball and Golf teams will turn out for their "second season" and the Men's Volleyball program plays its inter-collegiate schedule. Approximately 130 athletes will participate in the varsity athletic programs at Vermont Tech during the 2007-08 academic year-nearly fourteen percent of the student body at the Randolph Center Campus. Plans are underway to add Softball as s varsity sport in the spring of 2009.
